Morocco has named a 26 player squad for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations

Morocco has named a 26-player squad for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which it will host from May 13 to June 2. Morocco enters the tournament as host and defending champion.

The team is in Group A with Egypt, Tunisia and Ethiopia. Matches will be played in Rabat at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Stadium and at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamoura.

Head coach Tiago Lima Pereira called up players from Moroccan academies and clubs, plus several based in Europe. Many come from the Mohammed VI Football Academy, as well as Raja Casablanca and Wydad AC. Others are playing at clubs such as Chelsea, Ajax, Lyon and Anderlecht. Some names are listed with corrected spellings in official records, including Mohamed Habib Zinbi at Anderlecht and Ibrahim Rabbaj at Chelsea.

Midfielders and forwards: Adam Boghazir (Mohammed VI Academy), Mohamed Harouch (Mohammed VI Academy), Adam El Laki (Wydad AC), Adam Alioui (Lyon), Hamza Chellali (FUS Rabat), Omrane Talai (Ajax), Ibrahim Rabbaj (Chelsea), Rayane Khadraoui (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Adnan El Boujoufi (Go Ahead Eagles), Yahya Saidi (FUS Rabat), Mohamed Amine Moustash (OH Leuven), Rayane El Yaakoubi (Gent), Wael Jassim Julissant (Neuchâtel Xamax), Ibrahim Faik (Feyenoord), Luis Felilez (Deportivo Alavés), Ayman El Zarki (Mohammed VI Academy).

The tournament also serves as qualification for the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar. The top eight teams, those reaching the quarter finals, will qualify.

Ticket prices are set at 30 dirhams for Category 1 and 20 dirhams for Category 2.

Morocco starts its campaign on Wednesday 13 May against Tunisia in Rabat. It then plays Ethiopia on Saturday 13 May at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, before facing Egypt on Tuesday 19 May back in Rabat.

All matches kick off at 20:00 local time.
