For many job seekers with disabilities, finding work can still feel out of reach. A jobs forum in Salé is trying to change that. LabelVie joined the Inclusive Employment Forum to support fair access to jobs for people with disabilities. The event took place at the Palais des Congrès de Salé and brought together companies, charities and public institutions.
More than 20 companies attended, alongside partners including Handicap International. The goal was to help connect job seekers with recruiters, offer coaching and create real job opportunities.
LabelVie met many candidates during recruitment and coaching sessions. The company focuses on skills, experience and potential, especially for people who are still under-represented in the workplace. This fits into a wider plan to improve diversity. It wants to reach more talent, update hiring practices, and make workplaces easier to access.
Kenza Bennani, Director of Inclusion and Diversity, said: “Today, the LabelVie group is proud to participate in this Inclusive Employment Forum, in line with a commitment we have carried for several years in favour of inclusive employment and, more broadly, diversity and inclusion. Within the group, we are convinced that each person has potential to reveal, regardless of their background, skills or disability.
We are particularly proud to have been the first Moroccan group to recruit, from 2019, people with intellectual disabilities on permanent contracts. Today, several dozen employees with disabilities work across our brands and roles, including support functions, management positions and operational jobs in stores.”
