Passenger traffic at Morocco’s airports reached 12.34 million travellers by the end of April 2026, up 9.7% from the same period last year, according to the country’s National Airports Office (ONDA).
The busiest airport, Mohammed V International Airport, handled 3.76 million passengers, accounting for more than 30% of total air traffic in the country. Passenger numbers at the airport rose by 12.6% compared with the end of April 2025.
Most airports across Morocco recorded growth during the period. Passenger traffic increased by 27.1% at Beni Mellal Airport and by 18.5% at Moulay Ali Cherif Airport. Traffic also rose by 13.5% at Rabat–Salé Airport, 11.5% at Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport and 11.3% at Nador Al Aroui Airport.
Passenger numbers increased by 10.8% at Marrakesh Menara Airport and by 10.3% at Agadir Al Massira Airport, driven mainly by stronger international travel.
International flights carried 11.07 million passengers during the first four months of the year, a rise of 9.5%, while domestic flights handled 1.27 million passengers, up 11.1%.
European routes, which account for more than 80% of Morocco’s international passenger traffic, grew by 9.6%. Traffic with Africa rose by 19.6%, while North American routes increased by 22%. Passenger numbers to and from Maghreb countries climbed by 13.7%.
South America recorded the strongest growth, with passenger traffic rising by 41.2%. In contrast, traffic with the Middle East and Far East fell by 4.6%.
Aircraft movements at Moroccan airports reached 91,128 arrivals and departures by the end of April, an increase of 10.4% compared with the same period in 2025.
Air cargo traffic also rose, increasing by 11.8% year-on-year to 39,515 tonnes, up from 35,334 tonnes during the first four months of last year.
