Healthcare experts gather in Casablanca for Siemens Healthineers Innovation Day

Healthcare professionals from across Morocco will gather in Casablanca on 6 June as Siemens Healthineers Maroc hosts the second edition of its Innovation Day.

The event will focus on how new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, are changing medical imaging and helping doctors make better decisions.

The programme will centre on three main topics: the use of AI in clinical practice, advances in medical imaging, and new tools that support diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Siemens Healthineers says these technologies can help modernise healthcare systems and improve patient care by making diagnoses more accurate and treatments more effective.

One of the key subjects at this year’s event will be interventional MRI, a technology used to guide medical procedures with real-time imaging. The company says it could create new opportunities for image-guided treatments.

Experts will also discuss the growing role of artificial intelligence in interventional medicine and how it can help improve the quality, speed and personalisation of care.

Another major topic will be photon-counting CT, an emerging imaging technology that Siemens Healthineers promotes under the slogan “See the Unseen”. The company says it offers greater diagnostic precision and could shape the future of medical imaging.

The event will also celebrate 25 years of innovation in Siemens Healthineers’ PET/CT technology, highlighting developments that have supported healthcare professionals and patients over the years.

Specialists from Germany, France, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Morocco are expected to attend. They will share experiences and discuss some of the biggest challenges facing healthcare systems today.

Siemens Healthineers says the event is not only about showcasing technology but also about discussing how healthcare can adapt to rising demands for quality, efficiency and sustainability.

The company operates in more than 180 countries in fields including medical imaging, diagnostics, cancer treatment and minimally invasive therapies. In its 2024 financial year, Siemens Healthineers reported revenue of around €22.4bn and employed approximately 72,000 people worldwide.
