The African Cristal Festival will return to Casablanca on October 15 for its 11th edition, bringing together advertising agencies, brands, media companies, marketers and creative professionals from across Africa.

This year’s festival will also introduce Media Cristal, a new awards programme for media agencies and media professionals.

The one-day event will include keynote talks, panel discussions, networking sessions and an awards ceremony honouring some of Africa’s best marketing and communication campaigns.

Media Cristal will reward excellence in campaign performance, audience strategy, media planning and the work of media agencies. The new category reflects the growing role of data, strategy and media distribution in making advertising campaigns successful.

The festival will keep its “winner-only” format. Each category will have just one winner, with no silver or bronze awards.

Judges will assess entries based on creative quality, strategic relevance and measurable results. Campaigns submitted in languages other than English must include English subtitles or a translated transcript.

This year’s programme also includes the NYF Cristal Village Award, organised with the New York Festivals. The award recognises campaigns and brand projects that support education, social good and cultural understanding.

Entries for the African Cristal Awards are now open. Agencies, advertisers and communications professionals can submit their work through the festival’s official platform before the event on October 15.
