Sothema has changed its visual identity as the pharmaceutical company marks 50 years in business. The company shared its new branding on LinkedIn. The new identity will now be used across all of Sothema’s communications.

Sothema was founded in 1976 by Omar Tazi. The company has since grown into a major pharmaceutical manufacturer, with its products distributed in 37 countries, mainly across Africa and the Middle East.

The company operates nine industrial sites and makes medicines for areas including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, infections and eye conditions.

Sothema has also expanded into contract manufacturing and works with more than 35 international pharmaceutical companies.

The company has been expanding its presence in Africa in recent years. Its moves include the acquisition of Soludia Maghreb and the creation of Sothema International.
