Children, families and people with disabilities are among those set to benefit from a charity drive collecting food, clothes and other essentials at six Mövenpick hotels in Morocco and Tunisia. The “Kilo of Kindness” campaign runs from 26 October to 27 November, with three hotels in each country collecting donations for local charities. The initiative is part of a global effort involving more than 90 Mövenpick properties.

Each hotel is working with a local organisation to collect items that meet specific needs, including clothing, toys, food, baby supplies and mobility aids.

In Casablanca, Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca is collecting food, clothes, toys and basic necessities for Al Ihssane, an organisation that supports vulnerable children and people with disabilities. The centre it supports accommodates about 280 residents, including around 200 babies and young children under six.

Mövenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech is working with Enfance Espoir Maroc, which supports abandoned children, children with disabilities and vulnerable mothers in rural areas. Requested items include winter clothes, footwear, school supplies and hygiene products.

Mövenpick Hotel & Casino Malabata Tanger is partnering with Association Aide et Secours, also known as Aoun wa Ighata, to help orphans and widows with educational and financial support.

In Tunisia, Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse is working with Arim to support people with reduced mobility. Donations include wheelchairs, adapted shoes, food and money.

Mövenpick Hotel Gammarth Tunis is working with the Lions Club on social welfare initiatives, including the collection of food supplies. Mövenpick Hotel Du Lac Tunis is collecting powdered milk, baby bottles, nappies and other infant supplies for the child welfare association Diar Essabil.

“ In Morocco and Tunisia, our hotels work with associations that know the daily needs of the people they support,” said Fleur Porter, Mövenpick’s senior vice-president of brand management and loyalty for Europe and North Africa.

“Kilo of Kindness allows our guests, teams, and local residents to contribute to their work by donating useful products. With six participating properties, we want to facilitate this mobilisation and make every donation a concrete contribution as close as possible to local needs,” she said.

The 2026 campaign also aims to extend support beyond the annual collection period. Mövenpick plans to involve hotel employees in sorting and delivering donations and to develop year-round fundraising.

The initiative marks its 11th edition this year. Since it began in 2015, it has collected more than 130,000kg of essential goods worldwide.

The campaign also includes World Kindness Day on 13 November, which Mövenpick hopes will encourage more people to donate before collections close on 27 November.

Al Ihssane, the Casablanca partner, has operated since 1989 and runs the Maison d’Enfants Lalla Hasnaa. Enfance Espoir Maroc, the Marrakech partner, was founded in 1995 and recognised as a public-utility organisation in 2002.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is part of the Accor hotel group. Its “Kilo of Kindness” campaign relies on local partnerships to direct donations towards the needs of the communities served by participating hotels.
