Crédit du Maroc, represented by its Chairman of the Board, Ali Benkirane, and Finéa, a subsidiary of the CDG Group, represented by its General Manager, Mohammed Belmaachi, signed a partnership agreement on Thursday, July 25th. The event, attended by Latifa Echihabi, Secretary General of the CDG and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Finéa, marks a significant step in bolstering support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in public markets in Morocco.
This partnership aims to enhance Finéa’s ability to finance SMEs and facilitate their access to public contracts by offering financing solutions tailored to the market lifecycle and their working capital needs, with competitive timelines. These financing solutions, designed by Finéa, will now be available to eligible clients through Crédit du Maroc’s extensive network of business centers and branches.
Recognizing the critical role financial operators play in easing SMEs’ access to financing, thereby enabling them to capitalize on growth opportunities presented by public markets and strengthen their competitiveness, the two institutions—partners since 2007—work complementarily to fortify the resilience of this crucial business segment. SMEs are seen as vital engines for Morocco’s economic recovery.
“Our role as a financial operator is to support and accompany economic growth in the Kingdom. Strengthening our partnership with Finéa reaffirms our strategy to assist SMEs by facilitating their access to public markets through public procurement financing. We are committed to meeting the specific needs of these businesses by offering flexible and tailored solutions to enhance their market competitiveness,” stated Ali Benkirane, Chairman of the Board of Crédit du Maroc.
“In line with Morocco’s ambitious investments toward 2030, the agreement between Finéa and Crédit du Maroc represents a crucial strategic partnership to support the Kingdom’s economic dynamism. As a CDG subsidiary, Finéa is fully aligned with the Group’s mission to support the development of key economic sectors in our country, thereby creating real value for national development goals. This initiative aims to strengthen support for Moroccan SMEs with high value-added services, reinforcing their resilience as essential drivers of Morocco’s economy,” declared Mohammed Belmaachi, General Manager of Finéa.
