Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has announced the launch of its new Procurement Portal, set to go live on Friday, September 6, 2024. This portal will facilitate the digitalization of the bank’s procurement processes, including the submission and processing of electronic invoices from suppliers.

As part of its efforts to transform its procurement process and following the implementation of its new Procurement Regulation on April 1, 2024, BAM is introducing this portal to streamline and modernize its purchasing activities. Despite this digital shift, physical submission of invoices will remain mandatory in addition to the electronic submission.

Starting from September 6, 2024, all procurement activities initiated by BAM will be conducted through this portal, with a few exceptions. Certain procedures, such as architectural competitions, competitive dialogue, simplified open tenders, and various forms of architectural consultations, will continue to be handled in paper format for now, with plans to digitize these processes in a later phase.

Suppliers must obtain an authorized electronic signature certificate to use the new system. To ensure a smooth transition, BAM has established a transitional period lasting until December 31, 2024, during which paper submissions will still be accepted in cases where suppliers face challenges with the new platform.

The Procurement Portal will be accessible through the link “https://portailachats.bankalmaghrib.ma/” as well as through BAM’s main website, “www.bkam.ma“.
