Pitaya, the renowned Thai street food brand, has opened its first restaurant in Casablanca at Marina Shopping, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion. This launch introduces Moroccan consumers to the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine.
The opening of this restaurant is a key development for Flavors Food Company, a joint venture born from the strategic partnership between Marjane Group and Atlas Hospitality Group (AHG), two leaders in their respective fields. By combining Marjane’s expertise in retail with AHG’s experience in luxury hospitality, this partnership aims to offer rich, diverse, and accessible culinary experiences. The goal is to create immersive dining experiences focused on quality, originality, and affordability. Flavors Food Company plans to establish itself as a major player in the food industry by targeting strategic locations such as shopping malls, urban hotels, and other high-traffic areas.
Pitaya is the first master franchise launched by Flavors Food Company, solidifying its ambition to introduce innovative dining concepts to Morocco. The joint venture aims not only to import international brands but also to develop and create Moroccan concepts tailored to local consumer preferences.
Flavors Food Company has ambitious growth plans for Pitaya in Morocco, with two more restaurants expected to open by the end of the year, and two additional openings annually until 2029.
Adam Lasri, Director of Flavors Food Company, expressed his enthusiasm: “The opening of Pitaya’s first restaurant in Casablanca is a significant step that reflects our commitment to bringing unique culinary experiences to the Moroccan market. By combining our local expertise with Pitaya’s international popularity, we are confident this new concept will appeal to a wide audience while enriching Morocco’s restaurant landscape.”
Pitaya offers an experience inspired by Thai street food, with an open kitchen providing a live “show cooking” performance, where customers can watch fresh ingredients being prepared in a wok.
The restaurant’s décor at Marina Shopping spans 200 square meters across two areas and combines authentic Thai elements with an industrial, street-style design. The space offers a warm atmosphere reminiscent of Asian hospitality, with around 70 seats both indoors and outdoors facing the sea, allowing diners to enjoy a setting that is both urban and exotic.
Pitaya’s menu at Marina Shopping boasts a variety of signature Thai dishes, including Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, and Yellow Curry, alongside creative offerings like Garlic & Pepper. For those seeking fresh flavors, options such as the Bo Bun and Thai Salad are also available.
Each dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with prices ranging from 59 to 85 dirhams per plate. This allows customers to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine without compromising on taste or quality, while maintaining an excellent price-to-quality ratio for street food.
