Football legend Lionel Messi has handpicked the young Moroccan talent, Ilyesse Ben Seghir, to be part of his exclusive “Adidas Messi +10” team, a special initiative aimed at promoting the next generation of football stars. This selection is designed to highlight promising young players and provide them with increased exposure and development opportunities alongside some of the biggest names in world football.

As part of the “Messi Day” celebration organized by Adidas, the Argentinian superstar was tasked with choosing a team of talented young athletes. Among those selected is the 19-year-old Ben Seghir, a midfielder for AS Monaco, who has already made waves in the world of football.

Ben Seghir joins a group of 10 standout players, including another rising star, Spain’s Lamine Yamal, who shares Moroccan roots. These emerging talents will receive specially designed boots created in collaboration with Messi, known as the Messi Triunfo Estelar, symbolizing their bright future in the sport.

Currently, Ben Seghir is with Morocco’s national team as they prepare for crucial upcoming matches against the Central African Republic in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Morocco 2025.
