After reporting a record-breaking turnover of €130.6 million in 2024, the Spanish hotel chain Silken Hoteles is embarking on an ambitious international expansion, with Morocco as its first priority. The group has already sealed agreements for seven projects across the country, with the first two hotels set to open this year in Casablanca and Agadir.

This move marks Silken Hoteles’ official debut on the global stage. The two initial openings will soon be followed by further developments in Marrakech and Dakhla, two other major tourist destinations in Morocco.

While Morocco is currently at the forefront of Silken’s expansion plan, the chain has its eyes on other markets as well, including Portugal. Having solidified its presence across Spain, Silken is now determined to grow beyond its domestic base, carving out a name on the international hotel scene.

Founded in 1995, Silken Hoteles is celebrated for its cutting-edge designs and dedication to providing comfort and functionality. Operating over 33 hotels across key urban centers in Spain, the brand is known for its high-quality services and prime locations.

Silken’s entry into Morocco comes at a time when the country’s tourism sector is booming. With increasing international interest and infrastructure development, Morocco has become a magnet for hotel investments. The country’s rich culture, strategic location, and growing reputation as a world-class travel destination make it an ideal target for Silken’s global ambitions.

This initiative is not only a testament to Silken Hoteles’ growth strategy but also a reflection of Morocco’s expanding prominence in the global hospitality industry.
