Mark your calendars! The Comediablanca Festival is making a grand comeback on May 30 and 31, 2025, at Casablanca’s iconic Mohammed V Complex. Organized by Tendansia, this event is fast becoming a premier showcase for stand-up comedy in Morocco and across the region. After a dazzling debut, the festival promises an even bigger and bolder edition, filled with innovation, laughter, and immersive experiences.
This year’s festival will transform the legendary Mohammed V Complex into a comedy hub like no other. The entire venue will feature a modern artistic vision inspired by the Bauhaus movement, courtesy of creative director Amir Rouani. Expect captivating visuals, interactive spaces, and a diverse lineup designed to celebrate comedy as a dynamic art form.
Comediablanca 2025 will bring together top-tier comedians from Morocco, the Arab world, Francophone Africa, and Europe. The festival’s highlights include:
- A francophone night, spotlighting comedy talents from across the French-speaking world.
- An arabophone night, showcasing performers from North Africa and the broader Arab region.
- A newcomer stage, where emerging comedians will have the opportunity to shine, offering audiences a glimpse of tomorrow’s stars.
The organizers, Myriam Bouayad and Saad Lahjouji, aim to establish Casablanca as Africa’s comedy capital. “This festival is more than just entertainment,” says Lahjouji. “It’s a celebration where laughter and emotion create lasting memories.”
During the day, festivalgoers can explore the vibrant Village Comediablanca, a lively space offering live performances, interactive activities, relaxation zones, and a creative market. Designed to foster community and connection, this village transforms humor into a shared, living art form.
