Air Arabia Maroc is strengthening its role as a bridge between North Africa and Southern Europe with the launch of a new direct flight connecting Nador, in northeastern Morocco, to Murcia, a bustling city in southeastern Spain. This new route, set to take off on May 3, 2025, is more than just a travel option—it’s a strategic move aimed at deepening ties between two regions with long-standing cultural and personal connections.
For Nador, a growing economic hub in Morocco’s Oriental region, this route marks a step forward in its international outreach. For Murcia, home to a large Moroccan community, the connection offers families, students, and professionals a convenient new link to their roots. It’s also a boost for tourism and cross-border business, opening the door to smoother travel for both leisure and work.
Flights will operate three times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays—designed with traveler comfort and flexibility in mind. On Mondays, departures from Nador are set for 8:00 a.m., arriving in Murcia at 10:00 a.m., with the return leg leaving at 10:45 a.m. and arriving just five minutes later. Tuesday flights leave at 1:20 p.m. and land at 3:20 p.m., with the return at 4:05 p.m. Saturday flights follow a similar schedule, taking off at 2:00 p.m. and landing at 4:00 p.m., with a return departure at 4:45 p.m.
This new service is part of the airline’s broader summer expansion and responds directly to increasing demand from the Moroccan diaspora, particularly in the Murcia region. With strong seasonal travel patterns and family connections on both sides of the Mediterranean, Air Arabia Maroc is betting on consistent interest.
But beyond the practical benefits, the new route symbolizes something larger—a growing interconnection between two shores with shared history and enduring human ties. Nador, backed by ambitious port and tourism development projects, is positioning itself as a central player in Mediterranean transport. Murcia, with its agricultural strength and vibrant community, brings its own energy to the partnership.
Tickets for the new route are already available through the airline’s website, mobile app, customer service center, and authorized travel agencies.
