AKDITAL has sold a 15% stake in its Riyadh-based international holding company to Saudi investment firm Arab Invest. The deal brings together AKDITAL’s experience in building and running hospitals with Arab Invest’s financial backing and regional network. Arab Invest is owned by 16 Arab countries.
The investment will help AKDITAL grow its presence in Saudi Arabia and support its goal of building an international network with more than 2,000 hospital beds by 2030. The group is also studying opportunities in other markets across the region.
AKDITAL already has four hospital projects under development in Saudi Arabia. Two are in Riyadh, while the other two are in Mecca and Jeddah.
Abdullah Ben Saleh Bakhribah, General Manager of Arab Invest, said: “This investment reflects our commitment to directing capital toward quality investment opportunities in sectors with sustainable economic and social impact. Through our partnership with AKDITAL, we aspire to build a leading regional investment platform, contributing to the development of the healthcare sector and creating sustainable value for investors and communities across the Arab region.”
Dr Rochdi Talib, Chairman and Chief Executive of AKDITAL Group, said: “The entry of Arab Invest into our international holding company marks a decisive step in realizing our regional expansion strategy. Thanks to this partnership, we are strengthening our capacity to accelerate our expansion pace, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Our ambition is to build a network of more than 2,000 beds by 2030 and contribute to high-quality healthcare that meets the region’s growing needs.”
The expansion abroad follows a year of strong growth at home.
In 2025, AKDITAL opened eight new healthcare facilities in Guelmim, Laâyoune, Nador, Oujda and Rabat. It now operates 45 facilities across 26 cities, with 4,505 beds, giving it a presence in all 12 regions of the country.
About two-thirds of the group’s investments have been made outside the Casablanca-Rabat area as it works to improve access to specialist healthcare across the country.
AKDITAL treated 566,077 patients in 2025, up 60% from a year earlier. Around 62% of those patients received care outside the Casablanca-Rabat corridor.
The company also posted strong financial results. Revenue rose 49% to 4.41 billion dirhams, while EBITDA increased 45% to 1.21 billion dirhams.
AKDITAL employs nearly 10,000 people and works with more than 4,000 partner doctors. The group accounts for 17% of the country’s private hospital bed capacity and has been listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange under the ticker AKT since December 2022.
