Akdital strengthens national network with new high-tech Rabat opening

Akdital Group has officially opened the doors to its newest private hospital in Rabat, marking its 38th facility across Morocco. This latest expansion places the healthcare group firmly in the nation’s capital, continuing its strategic rollout aimed at increasing access to high-quality medical care nationwide.

The newly inaugurated Ibn Yassine Private Hospital is located in a prime area of Rabat and offers 155 beds across a multidisciplinary setup. Particular emphasis is placed on oncology, reflecting the region’s growing demand for specialized cancer treatment. Designed to meet international standards in both hygiene and medical quality, the hospital aims to serve the broader Rabat-Salé-Kénitra area with comprehensive, advanced healthcare.

Among the hospital’s key features is a state-of-the-art intensive care complex. This includes 29 individual units for adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care, along with a dedicated intensive care wing that adds another 30 beds for handling severe cases. Maternity care is also a central focus, with a fully equipped wing offering 11 maternity beds, a nursery, and a continuum of services for prenatal monitoring and childbirth.

The surgical unit comprises ten fully equipped operating rooms with the latest technology, alongside two endoscopy rooms and a dedicated delivery suite. Post-operative care is supported by a recovery room with nine beds. The emergency department, open 24/7, is equipped with ten additional beds to handle urgent medical needs at any time.

The hospital also includes an interventional cardiology service with two catheterization labs and a testing area for stress evaluations, making it well-suited to treat both cardiac and neurovascular conditions. Diagnostic services are available around the clock, including MRI, CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, and mammography. In-house radiologists are present at all hours to deliver immediate diagnostic interpretations. A fully operational lab handles a wide array of tests, with clinical biologists available at any time of day.

Digital infrastructure plays a key role in this new facility. Patient records and care coordination are managed through a fully integrated digital system, ensuring smoother communication between departments and faster access to critical information.

One of the hospital’s major highlights is its International Oncology Center, dedicated to comprehensive cancer care. This specialized unit features 18 chairs for outpatient chemotherapy, a cutting-edge radiotherapy section, 15 intensive care beds for cancer patients, and a bone marrow transplant facility. Additionally, two consultation suites are available for both routine and emergency cancer care.

With this opening, Akdital continues to assert itself as a major force in Moroccan healthcare. Listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange since late 2022, the group now operates 38 facilities across 22 cities and employs over 8,500 healthcare professionals. Its mission remains clear: to make modern, high-quality medical services more accessible across the entire country.
