Marking a significant milestone in its ambitious expansion under the “Vision 2028” strategic plan of the LabelVie Group, Atacadão has inaugurated its 19th store in Khémisset. This latest opening rounds off a successful 2024, underscoring the company’s commitment to regional growth and its position as a leader in Morocco’s retail market.

Situated on a sprawling 10,975-square-meter plot, the Khémisset store boasts a built area of 5,274 square meters, including a 2,800-square-meter sales floor and an aerial parking lot with 94 spaces. Completed in just nine months, the project represents a 60 million dirham investment, creating 120 direct jobs and 80 indirect positions in the process.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Governor of the Khémisset Province and attended by Hicham Yacobi, Deputy General Manager of Atacadão, and Naoual Benamar, General Manager of the LabelVie Group, alongside local dignitaries and business leaders. Their presence highlighted Atacadão’s dedication to fostering regional economic development.

In 2024, Atacadão expanded its footprint with store openings in Taroudant, Taourirt, Béni Mellal, Kelaâ Sraghna, Nador, and now Khémisset. These six projects reflect a total investment exceeding 525 million dirhams, generating over 720 direct and 510 indirect jobs. This expansion aligns with Atacadão’s mission to boost local economies, protect purchasing power in regional markets, and provide new employment opportunities across Morocco.

At the heart of Atacadão’s success lies its innovative “cash & carry” model, a self-service concept tailored to meet the needs of both professionals and private consumers.

The format offers a flexible shopping experience for grocers, cafes, restaurants, hotels, and families alike, blending wholesale and retail options. Customers benefit from tiered pricing based on quantity, ensuring significant savings on bulk purchases. Additionally, the store features attractive promotions on hundreds of products, making it a cost-effective choice for businesses and households.

Atacadão’s Khémisset store is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of shopping preferences, allowing customers to use carts for daily essentials or pallets for bulk purchases. By maintaining prices on par with major cities like Casablanca and Rabat-Salé, without passing on logistical costs, Atacadão ensures that local customers enjoy the lowest prices possible. This strategy not only enhances local purchasing power but also supports efforts to curb inflation.

With the opening of the Khémisset location, Atacadão reaffirms its vision to expand its reach across Morocco, prioritizing accessibility and affordability. The company’s commitment to offering high-quality products at competitive prices continues to make it a trusted name in communities across the country.
