AtlaStudio was named the winner of the Challenge Startup Gamification during the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026. The contest was organised by telecom firm inwi, together with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and Morocco Gaming Industry.

The startup won after going through workshops, coaching sessions and a final pitch. Judges said its tools stood out for how they make apps more engaging, especially for the win by inwi mobile platform.

AtlaStudio was founded in 2025 and focuses on mobile games and gamification. In just over a year, it has already released more than 50 games and reached users beyond Morocco.

The team will receive 100,000 dirhams in prize money. They will also get support to build a working version of their idea, with the aim of adding it directly into the win by inwi app.

As part of the prize, the founders will travel to Germany to attend the Gamescom trade fair. Morocco will have its own national pavilion at the event for the first time.

inwi works with startups to turn ideas into real products by helping them build a Proof of Concept and bringing them closer to market. Its teams also take part in co-design sessions, working directly with founders to shape ideas around real business needs.

Startups are given a public platform to present their projects during the Morocco Gaming Expo, offering both local and international visibility. The Gamescom trip is meant to open doors to global markets.

In a statement, organisers said: “This result illustrates the vitality of Moroccan talent in terms of game design and creative engineering, and confirms the relevance of a system designed to bring about a new generation of digital entrepreneurs.”

They said the competition is part of a wider plan to support startups and grow Morocco’s gaming industry through cooperation between the public and private sectors.

“For inwi, this initiative is part of a long-term vision to put technology at the service of the customer experience, to support useful and inclusive innovation, and to actively contribute to the rise of a competitive and sovereign Moroccan digital ecosystem.”
