Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM), the Moroccan national motorways Company, is set to roll out an ambitious investment plan totaling 7.74 billion dirhams (MMDH) over the 2025-2027 period, according to a report on public institutions and enterprises (EEP) accompanying the draft finance bill for next year.
This extensive program allocates 2.66 MMDH for 2025, 2.45 MMDH for 2026, and 2.63 MMDH for 2027. Key projects include the construction of the Rabat-Casablanca Continental Motorway, the Tit Mellil-Berrechid project, and the development of the Sidi Maarouf and Ain Harouda interchanges. The report, published by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, reveals that during the first half of 2024, the investment program had already reached 853 million dirhams, representing 42% of the budgeted forecasts.
As for ADM’s revenue, it is projected to reach 4.32 MMDH in 2025, climb to 4.55 MMDH in 2026, and hit 4.8 MMDH by 2027. By the end of June 2024, revenues had surpassed 1.82 MMDH, with estimates predicting an annual total of 4.02 MMDH, an 8% increase from 2023.
Additionally, following King Mohammed VI’s speech on November 8, 2023, at the 4th Africa Investment Forum, discussions have been underway about expanding the motorway network to 3,000 kilometers by 2030. This extension, which will add over 1,000 kilometers of new highways, is part of the country’s preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, with ongoing consultations aimed at refining the development and investment plans, as well as securing the necessary funding.
