The Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) announced that Aya Asaqas has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in skateboarding.
Aya Asaqas, 21, earned her Olympic berth after competing in the qualification series in Shanghai. She has made history by becoming the first African female skateboarder to qualify for the Olympics.
As of now, Morocco has secured qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics in 16 sports: athletics, rowing, boxing, breakdancing, canoeing, cycling, fencing, football, wrestling, surfing, taekwondo, shooting, triathlon, equestrian sports, beach volleyball, and skateboarding.
