BMCI Securities Services has received the ISAE 3402 Type 2 certification, an international standard that confirms the effectiveness of its internal controls and operational processes.
The certification was awarded by audit firm Forvis Mazars and covers the company’s custody services, asset management activities and related financial operations.
The milestone comes one year after BMCI Securities Services obtained the ISAE 3402 Type 1 certification. While the earlier certification focused on the design of its control systems, the Type 2 certification confirms that those controls worked effectively over a nine-month review period.
Rachid Lakchini, Director of BMCI Securities Services, said the certification confirms that the company’s processes now meet international standards.
“This recognition positions us among the most reliable operators in the market and reinforces the confidence of our institutional and international clients,” he said.
BMCI said the certification strengthens its position in Morocco’s financial sector and reflects its commitment to high governance and risk management standards.
BMCI Securities Services serves retail, professional and corporate clients across Morocco through a network of 235 branches.
The bank is also part of the BNP Paribas Group, one of Europe’s largest banking groups, operating in 63 countries and employing around 183,000 people worldwide.
