Rayane Bounida will play for Morocco after FIFA approved his switch from Belgium. The Ajax Amsterdam player has been called up by coach Mohamed Ouahbi for friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation said Bounida had previously played for Belgium’s youth teams.
Morocco’s squad finished their last training session at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora on Wednesday before flying to Madrid from Rabat-Salé Airport.

These games are Ouahbi’s first in charge, taking over from Walid Regragui on 5 March. They are also one of the last tests before Morocco’s 2026 World Cup campaign.
In the World Cup, Morocco will play Brazil on 13 June at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Scotland on 19 June at Gillette Stadium in Boston, and Haiti on 24 June at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. They are in Group C with Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
