A job search could soon get easier for engineers, tech specialists and media workers as Bouygues prepares a large recruitment drive for 2026 that includes Morocco among its priority markets.

The French group, active in construction, telecoms, public works and media, will hire 8,500 people in France. Of those, 6,700 roles will be permanent jobs. The company will also take on 7,000 interns and apprentices, and more than half are expected to move into full time positions.

The campaign will cover all major subsidiaries including Equans, Colas, Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Telecom and TF1.

Outside France, the group plans to hire 2,700 people in the United Kingdom and thousands more in Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States, Switzerland, Australia and Morocco.

Morocco appears on the list because the group needs skills in infrastructure, renewable energy, digital services and technical support. No hiring numbers or dates were given for the country. Recruitment will be supported by a new AI-powered platform that will also help the group’s 200,000 employees move between roles.

Morocco is becoming a key base for major projects. Rail expansion and preparations for the 2030 World Cup are increasing demand for civil engineering and logistics skills. The group is also looking at solar and wind energy projects and expanding digital services that support telecom and technology teams.

The hiring plan reflects a shift towards greener and more digital jobs. Equans is aiming for a 5 percent margin in 2026 through industrial decarbonisation and building efficiency. TF1 is hiring for streaming and digital content. Bouygues Construction is focusing on sustainable materials and energy-efficient buildings.

The new AI system will help match candidates to jobs, identify skills gaps and support staff who want to move across the group. Bouygues says the global hiring plan will help support large projects in infrastructure, water management and data centres across several continents.
