The Atlas Lions secured a narrow 1-0 win over Lesotho this Monday in a hard-fought match during the second round of qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Throughout the game, the Moroccan team dominated possession, creating numerous scoring opportunities but struggled to finish. It wasn’t until stoppage time, in the 93rd minute, that Brahim Diaz delivered a decisive goal, sealing the three points for Morocco.

With this victory, Morocco sits comfortably at the top of Group B with six points, ahead of Central African Republic (3 points), Lesotho, and Gabon, both yet to score a point.
