Bzerba electric scooters are now available at selected Carrefour stores in Rabat after a new partnership between Bzerba Community and Groupe LabelVie. The scooters can be found at Carrefour Express and Carrefour Market stores in Souissi, Hassan, Océan and Al Manal.
Users can use the BZERBA app to find and unlock a scooter. The service is designed for short trips around the city.
Bzerba Community is a Rabat-based startup that provides shared electric mobility services. Its platform also supports electric bikes and regular bicycles.
Using a scooter costs 8 MAD to unlock and 0.50 MAD per minute.
The service runs from 07:00 to midnight from Monday to Thursday. It runs until 01:00 from Friday to Sunday.
Users must be at least 18 years old and complete a digital identity check. They also need an approved electronic payment method.
Only one person can use each scooter. Passengers are not allowed.
Bzerba uses geofencing to control where scooters can be ridden and parked. The company has not announced how many scooters are being deployed through the LabelVie partnership or whether the service will expand to other cities.
