Chari, the Moroccan startup that has emerged as a leader in B2B e-commerce for consumer goods, has announced a significant milestone in its development strategy. The company, co-founded and led by CEO Ismael Belkhayat, has successfully developed its own core banking system, Chari CBS.
This innovative technology has been certified by HPS Switch, Morocco’s national payment switch, allowing Chari to offer payment accounts with Moroccan IBANs to both businesses (B2B) and individuals (B2C). These accounts will be linked to debit cards, further enhancing financial accessibility for users.
The full rollout of the system, including testing and preparation for launch, is expected in the coming months. This development represents a major leap forward for Chari, solidifying its position in the Moroccan financial market and underlining its ambition to become a key player in driving financial inclusion across the country.
