CTM has taken over the management of urban transportation in Fez, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion. After securing operations in Tétouan, the national transport operator is extending its reach to another major Moroccan city through its dedicated subsidiary, Issal Fès.

The agreement with the city council was signed on September 11, setting the stage for a phased rollout of the service. Full coverage is expected within six months, in line with the delivery schedule of new buses purchased through a public tender. This transition is part of the Interior Ministry’s nationwide program to modernize urban transport, backed by a budget of 11 billion dirhams to provide 3,746 buses across 37 municipalities.

CTM is positioning itself as a key player in reshaping mobility in Morocco, particularly with major upcoming events such as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The company operates across multiple segments—urban, intercity, maritime, and freight—and reported consolidated revenues of 1.3 billion dirhams in 2024, serving more than 25 million passengers annually.

With over a century of experience, CTM runs close to 100 routes with a fleet of 800 vehicles and 7 ships. It also carries out more than 9,000 maritime crossings each year between Morocco and Spain, reinforcing its role as one of the country’s most established and diversified transport operators.
