Starting February 13th, Moroccan showrooms will showcase the highly anticipated third-generation Duster, Dacia’s signature SUV. A model that helped reshape the SUV market since its debut in 2010 is back, promising to continue its legacy of success.
Since its initial release, the Duster has made waves in the global automotive scene by offering a rare blend of rugged design, versatility, and affordability. The results speak for themselves: over 2.4 million units sold worldwide, with more than 95,000 finding homes in Morocco. Holding a commanding 33% share of the Moroccan SUV market, the Duster ranked fifth among the best-selling vehicles in the nation in 2024.
The new Duster is built on the CMF-B platform, shared with other models from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. This modern architecture enhances both safety and energy efficiency while maximizing interior space—despite maintaining the same 4.34-meter length as its predecessor. Designed with adaptability in mind, the platform can accommodate hybrid and electric powertrains, hinting at future sustainable options. However, given that diesel still dominates 80% of vehicle sales in Morocco, the Duster will launch with a robust 1.5-liter dCi diesel engine, producing 115 horsepower.
Visually, the third-generation Duster maintains the essence that has made it a fan favorite while embracing a more modern aesthetic. Key design elements include a vertical front grille, pronounced wheel arches, and a redesigned tailgate. Dacia’s signature Y-shaped lighting, hidden door handles, and a commitment to sustainability—20% of the vehicle’s materials are recycled plastic—showcase the brand’s forward-thinking approach to both style and environmental responsibility.
Inside, the new Duster offers a fresh, driver-centric experience. A reimagined dashboard with a vertical layout, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen create a more user-friendly environment. The “Media Display” infotainment system enhances connectivity with modern features, including a smartphone docking system (“YouClip”), illuminated USB-C ports, and wireless charging, depending on the trim level.
Dacia aims to attract a wide range of buyers by offering the new Duster in four trims:
- Essential: 226,900 MAD
- Expression: 243,900 MAD
- Extreme: 260,500 MAD
- Journey: 260,500 MAD
