Damane Cash launched a new programme to teach financial skills to women in rural areas has officially begun with its first training sessions.

The project, Nouara, started by training instructors from Fondation Zakoura in basic money management and personal finance. These trainers will then work with women entrepreneurs in Chichaoua, Al Haouz and Essaouira.

The programme is led by the Fondation Marocaine pour l’Éducation Financière, with support from GIZ WoMENA. Damane Cash is also taking part, while Fondation Zakoura will carry out the training locally.

The sessions aim to give participants practical skills, such as managing a budget, organising small businesses and better understanding financial services. The goal is to help women run their projects more effectively and improve their access to finance.

Damane Cash said its involvement shows its support for fair and long-term economic development in rural areas.
