As of midnight on December 30, 2025, fuel prices in Morocco have dropped once again, offering some welcome relief to motorists. Most notably, diesel prices have fallen below 10 dirhams per liter—a level not seen in several years.
The price of diesel has dropped by 65 centimes, settling around 9.95 dirhams at many service stations across the country. At the same time, unleaded gasoline has decreased by 44 centimes, with prices now averaging approximately 13.05 dirhams per liter, according to data from fuel distributors.
This decline follows two consecutive price hikes earlier this season and comes amid a modest pullback in global energy markets. International oil prices have recently softened, helping to ease the pressure on domestic fuel costs, which had remained stubbornly high. Until now, diesel consistently hovered above the 10-dirham mark, while gasoline often exceeded 13 dirhams per liter.
Fuel distributors attribute the latest drop to a reduction in supply costs on international markets. They point to a recent easing in energy prices as the main driver, although they caution that ongoing geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainties could still disrupt price stability in the months ahead.
For now, however, Moroccan drivers can enjoy a rare dip in fuel prices as 2025 comes to a close.
