People living in and around Bouskoura now have a new place to shop for electronics and home appliances after Electroplanet opened a new flagship store in the town. The new store, located at the Mercato Commercial Center, covers 850 square metres and brings Electroplanet’s network to more than 60 stores in 24 cities across Morocco.

It follows recent openings in Hay Riad in Rabat and near Tangier airport as the retailer continues to grow its presence across the country.

The showroom displays around 1,500 products from more than 50 international brands, including Jura, Marshall, Bose, AEG and Liebherr. It also has 30 staff to help customers choose products and provide after-sales support.

Unlike a traditional shop, the new store includes spaces where customers can try products before buying them. These include soundproof rooms for testing home entertainment systems, areas to test vacuum cleaners and other devices, and a fully equipped kitchen showing how large appliances look in a real home.

Electroplanet said it chose Bouskoura because the area has grown quickly in recent years, with more people moving there and new businesses opening.

The expansion comes as Morocco’s economy continues to grow. According to the High Commission for Planning, the economy grew by 4.6% in the first quarter of 2026, helped by strong activity in the trade and construction sectors.

“Our ambition is to go beyond the opening of new points of sale. We want to create spaces that are more modern, more immersive, and closer to the expectations of Moroccan consumers,” said Hakim Mataich, Deputy Managing Director of Electroplanet.

Founded in 2008, Electroplanet plans to expand its network to 100 stores across Morocco by 2030 while continuing to grow its online business.
