The Attijariwafa Bank Foundation has announced the winners of the second edition of its visual arts competition, “Imagine Your City,” an event that this year placed a strong emphasis on climate change and environmental awareness. The competition, which wrapped up in May, drew 327 entries from across the country, reflecting widespread engagement with both artistic expression and pressing ecological themes.
A panel of judges, made up of experts in visual arts and corporate social responsibility, selected four standout artists whose works impressed with both creativity and relevance. The jury included prominent figures such as gallery owner Abla Ababou, artist and professor Zine El Abidine El Amine, Attijariwafa Bank’s Head of CSR Mehdi Guedira, and Mohamed Rachdi, an established visual artist, teacher, and art critic.
Entrants, whether self-taught or professionally trained, submitted a wide range of creations—from painting and photography to video art and installations—offering diverse perspectives on environmental issues. In addition to the four prize-winning artists, the jury highlighted twelve additional works as favorites, which will be showcased in an upcoming exhibition.
Beyond the honorary recognition, the selected artists will receive professional mentorship and will have their work displayed in a major exhibition designed to give them greater public exposure and help advance their careers. The goal is not only to celebrate their talent but also to support their ongoing artistic development.
With this initiative, the Attijariwafa Bank Foundation continues to strengthen its commitment to culture, education, and sustainable development by creating spaces where young artists can express themselves and raise awareness of vital societal issues.
