FIFA has officially confirmed that ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup will begin soon, with the tournament set to run from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Prices will start at $60 for group stage matches and can climb to as much as $6,170 for the final. These figures are not set in stone, however—FIFA will adjust them based on demand.
This edition marks a historic expansion to 48 teams, and fans will have multiple ways to customize their experience. They’ll be able to purchase tickets for specific matches, select stadiums, or follow their favorite national team through the tournament. Visa cardholders will have exclusive early access through a pre-sale window, which opens from September 10 to 19. To participate, fans must register for a “FIFA ID,” and those randomly selected will be able to purchase tickets starting October 1.
Each fan will be limited to four tickets per game, with a cap of 40 tickets for the entire tournament. A second registration period will run from October 27 to 31, with sales scheduled between mid-November and early December. A third ticketing phase will follow the group draw on December 5 in Washington, allowing fans to secure seats for specific matchups. The final wave of tickets will go on sale just before kickoff, operating on a first-come, first-served basis.
FIFA is also rolling out several fan-friendly options, including “supporters’ tickets” designed for those who want to sit within their national fan sections. Separate ticket categories will be available for the knockout rounds, and an official resale platform will allow fans to buy and sell tickets securely.
