Serie A club Fiorentina has officially signed Moroccan international Amir Richardson, as announced on Monday, August 12. The 22-year-old midfielder, who recently won a bronze medal with Morocco at the Olympic Games, joins the Viola from French club Stade de Reims, where he has been a standout player for several seasons.
Richardson, recognized for his physicality and precise passing, is expected to bring added strength and creativity to Fiorentina’s midfield. The club confirmed his arrival through their social media channels and announced that Richardson will be formally introduced to the press tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2:30 PM at Viola Park.

Born in Nice on January 24, 2002, Richardson began his career with Le Havre before moving to Reims, where he made 28 appearances and scored three goals last season. Alongside his Olympic success, he has also earned seven caps with the Moroccan senior national team.
The transfer fee for Richardson is reported to be around 10 million euros, including bonuses, according to multiple media outlets. His impressive performances had attracted interest from top European clubs such as Tottenham and Ajax, but Fiorentina won the race to secure his signature.
