BMCE Capital Gestion has kept Fitch Ratings’ highest national Investment Manager Quality Rating (IMQR), “Excellent(mar)”, with a Stable Outlook. The June 2026 rating confirms that the company has maintained steady performance and strong operating standards since the last review.
Fitch gave the company the top “Excellent” rating in four key areas: investment process, investment resources, risk management, and governance and client service. Investment performance received a “Very Good” rating.
The agency said BMCE Capital Gestion follows a disciplined investment process backed by highly automated systems. This helps the company make investment decisions faster and carry out trades more efficiently.
Daily monitoring and risk controls also helped support the rating. Strategic backing from parent company Bank of Africa added to the strength and stability of the business.
An Investment Manager Quality Rating is different from a credit rating. It does not measure the risk of default. Instead, it assesses how well an asset manager runs its investment business, manages risk, and operates its systems.
The “(mar)” label means the rating compares BMCE Capital Gestion with other asset managers in Morocco. “Excellent” is the highest level on Fitch’s national IMQR scale.
Fitch assesses investment managers in five areas. BMCE Capital Gestion received “Excellent” for its investment process, investment resources, risk management, and governance and client service. Its investment performance was rated “Very Good”, reflecting strong and consistent results while balancing returns with capital preservation.
BMCE Capital Gestion is the asset management arm of BMCE Capital, part of Bank of Africa. The company manages a range of UCITS (OPCVM) funds, including money market, bond, and equity funds, for institutional and private clients.
