The Meydene Theater is gearing up for a packed and eclectic July, offering a trio of standout events that promise humor, nostalgia, and deep cultural resonance. Each evening will bring a distinctly different atmosphere, but all share the same commitment to excellence.
Kicking things off on July 10, the popular comedic duo Said & Wadii will take the stage. Known for their offbeat style and love of the absurd, the pair have become a staple in Morocco’s comedy scene. Their show will unfold in a series of sharply written sketches, mixing surreal scenarios with tragicomic characters that blur the line between the ridiculous and the relatable.
Then, on July 18, the spotlight shifts to music with the long-anticipated return of Rhany. A beloved artist whose songs have spanned generations, Rhany will deliver a concert blending nostalgia and connection. Audiences can expect a moving evening of soulful ballads and crowd-pleasing hits—a celebration of his enduring influence on Moroccan pop culture.
Closing out the month on July 26, Meydene will embrace the spirit of Achoura with a night dedicated to Marrakech’s rich musical heritage. In collaboration with the Marrakech Tarab Association, this special event will showcase a vibrant lineup of traditional performers. From the poetic cadences of Melhoun with Abdelhaq Bouayoune, to the spiritual rhythms of the Aïssawa with Youssef Sridi, and the fierce energy of the Houariates and Dakka Marrakchia, the program will capture the essence of Morocco’s living traditions. Poetic “zajal” duels, powerful vocals from Oumaima Baazia, and a festive finale by the mayazeens led by Cheikh Noureddine Rejrraji will round out the evening with flair.
Tickets are available for purchase at the theater or online via guichet.com and ticket.ma, with prices ranging from 200 to 700 dirhams depending on the performance.
