Hassan II Mosque hosts summer program on faith, ethics, and community

The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca has transformed into a vibrant space for spiritual learning and religious dialogue this summer, thanks to a special program launched by the Regional Scientific Council. Running through September 28, the initiative invites a wide audience—whether seekers of knowledge, spiritual reflection, or meaningful conversation about faith—to take part in a series of educational gatherings.

Developed in collaboration with the Hassan II Mosque Foundation and the Regional Delegation for Islamic Affairs of Casablanca-Settat, the program centers on weekly sessions led by certified preachers, expert educators, and imams. Topics range from Quranic interpretation and authentic hadith studies to the life of the Prophet, as well as broader discussions on ethics, spiritual purification, and community values.

The sessions are scheduled weekly between the Maghrib and Isha prayers, and sometimes following the Asr prayer. In addition to these discussions, a large educational tent has been set up outside on the mosque’s esplanade. It serves as a dynamic learning space throughout one dedicated week, offering interactive exhibitions, guided conversations, group readings, and lectures on key religious themes. Attendees can engage with ancient manuscripts, prophetic stories, and religious sciences in a format designed to be both accessible and immersive.

This summer initiative was carefully crafted to serve a diverse audience—from youth in training and practicing families to newcomers exploring their faith and longtime worshippers. The goal is to provide a living, inclusive framework for spiritual growth and learning at one of Morocco’s most iconic centers of Islamic worship.
