Following directives from King Mohammed VI, Abdeltif Loudyi, Morocco’s Minister Delegate in charge of National Defense Administration, welcomed Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová and Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov to Marrakech. Their visit coincided with the 7th Marrakech International Airshow, a premier event for aeronautics and space, where top military officials gathered to strengthen international defense collaborations.
In the presence of General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of Morocco’s Southern Zone, Loudyi hosted discussions with the Czech and Azerbaijani delegations, joined by each country’s ambassadors. A key highlight of these talks was the signing of two significant Military and Technical Cooperation Agreements—one with the Czech Republic and the other with Azerbaijan. These agreements mark a step forward in strategic defense partnerships, focusing on joint training, defense industry collaboration, technical support, military health, and cybersecurity.
During the meetings, both Černochová and Hasanov emphasized the importance of their partnerships with Morocco. They also praised Morocco’s economic and social advancements under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, acknowledging the Kingdom’s role as a stable, peace-promoting force in the Euro-Mediterranean and African regions.
These discussions culminated with a shared commitment to further develop these military partnerships. Both sides expressed a desire to implement the new agreements effectively and to maintain frequent high-level exchanges, building on today’s progress to reinforce Morocco’s strategic role in regional defense and stability.
