Krispy Kreme announced on Monday the opening of its first store in Morocco on August 9, 2024, further solidifying its leadership in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The brand, renowned for its iconic Original Glazed Doughnuts and coffee, will now prepare fresh doughnuts daily in Morocco. This move represents a strategic expansion within the MENA region, enhancing Krispy Kreme’s position in this dynamic market, according to a company statement.

The decision to enter the Moroccan market is driven by the country’s robust economic vitality and the consumption habits of its population, who appreciate moments of joy and conviviality, the statement added.

“Our decision to enter the Moroccan market is part of our broader expansion strategy in the MENA region,” said Raphael Duvivier, Director of Development at Krispy Kreme. “We believe that our iconic doughnuts and coffee will bring joy to Moroccan consumers and strengthen our presence in this crucial market.”

The Moroccan store, located in Arribat Center, will introduce the famous HOTlight concept, also known as the “Theatre Store,” where customers can watch doughnuts being glazed and served fresh and hot directly from the production line. This concept provides an immersive and engaging experience, allowing customers to witness the captivating process of making Krispy Kreme doughnuts in real-time.
