LabelVie has signed a new partnership with the Foundation for Research, Development and Innovation in Science and Engineering (FRDISI) and Blue International University (UIB). The agreement was signed on 4 September 2026. It will give students more opportunities to gain practical experience in the retail sector.

Students will be able to take part in internships, work-study programmes and final-year projects. The partnership will also include training, recruitment programmes and career mentoring.

The three organisations will work together in four main areas: industrial engineering, logistics and supply chains, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and environmental sustainability.

Industrial engineering projects will focus on improving store operations, productivity and the use of resources.

Logistics projects will cover areas such as cold-chain management, stock forecasting, distribution centres and last-mile delivery.

Students working on digital and AI projects will look at customer data, stock management, loyalty programmes and tools that can automate retail operations.

The partnership will also cover ways to reduce energy use, food and other waste, carbon emissions and the environmental impact of sourcing products.

LabelVie operates Carrefour, Carrefour Market and Atacadão stores in Morocco. It has more than 150 stores in 28 cities and employs more than 9,500 people.

The company has also invested in large-scale logistics infrastructure. Its distribution centre in Skhirat covers more than 45,000 square metres.

FRDISI is chaired by André Azoulay and works on research, engineering and innovation. UIB focuses on engineering, management and digital technologies.

The partnership is designed to help students develop skills that match the needs of the retail industry and give LabelVie access to a larger pool of trained graduates.
