A large-scale project named “B@bouches” promoting youth’s employability in Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, was launched Friday by Italian NGOs in collaboration with the National Agency for Employment and Skills Promotion (ANAPEC).

Co-funded by the European Union, “B@bouches” aims to promote social and economic empowerment of youth, aged between 18 and 29 years and unemployed people, who don’t pursue education and training (NEETS), as well as to boost active integration into the social and professional system in the regions of Marrakech-Safi and Beni-Mellal-Khenifra.

Based on a comprehensive and inclusive approach, the project is structured on three main lines, namely, the proactive engagement of youth and civil society by revitalizing the offer of local civil society organizations for a positive impact on the youth, both in urban and rural areas and on their empowerment towards their professional integration.

It also involves the guidance and promotion of entrepreneurship in rural areas through wider dissemination of economic opportunities and integration into the formal job market through a structured public-private partnership, as well as enhancing the professional and technical skills of youth in sectors including, culture and handicraft.
