Chinese automaker Soueast Motor is officially entering the Moroccan market, selecting M-AUTOMOTIV as its exclusive distributor in the country. This strategic partnership marks a significant step in Soueast’s global expansion and reflects a broader goal of diversifying Morocco’s automotive landscape to meet evolving mobility trends.

Backed by a joint venture between Mitsubishi Motors, China Motor Corporation, and Fujian Motor Industry Group, Soueast Motor has already sold more than 1.6 million vehicles across 18 countries. Its arrival in Morocco signals a new chapter in the company’s international ambitions, targeting a market where demand for innovative, tech-driven vehicles is on the rise.

To launch its brand locally, Soueast is introducing three SUV models tailored to different segments of the market. The S06, a compact plug-in hybrid, promises a maximum output of 360 horsepower and an impressive driving range of up to 1,300 kilometers. The S07, designed for families, features seven seats, a 197-horsepower combustion engine, advanced driver assistance systems equivalent to Level 2 autonomy, and an array of high-end connectivity features. For buyers seeking a more premium experience, the S09 offers 254 horsepower and prioritizes comfort and luxury-grade equipment.

Soueast is clearly aiming to attract both urban drivers and families who prioritize in-car technology and safety. In a first for Morocco, the company is offering an unprecedented engine warranty: valid for up to ten years or one million kilometers.

For M-AUTOMOTIV, the exclusive distribution deal solidifies its growing dominance in Morocco’s auto market. In less than two years, the company has established a network of 16 dealerships and built a comprehensive offering that spans new and used vehicles as well as related services. The addition of Soueast to its portfolio not only strengthens its position but also aligns with changing consumer demands, offering a pathway for continued growth in a competitive landscape.
