Bénin Manutentions S.A and Marsa Maroc, the Moroccan leader in port management, have solidified their strategic partnership with the signing of a delegated management agreement for Terminals 1 and 5 of the Port of Cotonou. The agreement, finalized on September 24, follows Marsa Maroc’s designation in July 2024 as the operator responsible for managing these terminals.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in the development of the Port of Cotonou, with operations at Terminal 1 set to commence in early October 2024. Marsa Maroc will bring its expertise and technical know-how to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of these key terminals, further boosting the port’s operational capacity.
This collaboration aligns with Benin’s broader strategy to modernize its port infrastructure and strengthen its position as a major logistics hub in West Africa.
