Mohammed Amin El Hajhouj has been appointed Deputy CEO of CDG Développement, marking a new chapter in a career spanning more than three decades dedicated to transformative, large-scale projects designed to support sustainable regional development.
Throughout his time with the CDG Group, El Hajhouj has played a leading role in some of its most ambitious initiatives. He oversaw the Zenata Development Corporation, which spearheaded Africa’s first eco-city—a groundbreaking urban planning project recognized across the continent for its inclusive, environmentally focused approach. His leadership also extended to INEE, a renewable energy subsidiary aligned with the CAP 2030 strategy. Under his direction, the initiative laid the groundwork for a comprehensive national platform aimed at accelerating the country’s energy transition.
This new appointment also places El Hajhouj at the helm of the Strategic Business Unit Expertise, a hub that brings together several CDG Group subsidiaries, including NOVEC, INEE, EUCAFOREST, the General Parking Company, and CGI Management. The unit focuses on two key priorities: advancing digital transformation, innovation, and knowledge management, while simultaneously driving progress on ESG standards, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable development.
