CFG Gestion has appointed Mohcine Ait El Bied as its new director of internal control and risk. Ait El Bied has been with CFG Bank for more than nine years. He joined the group in 2017 as an internal controller and became internal control manager in 2021.
His new role puts him in charge of internal control and risk management at CFG Gestion, the group’s asset management subsidiary.
He will oversee risk management, regulatory compliance and internal control processes linked to the company’s investment and asset management activities.
CFG Bank started as an investment bank before expanding into commercial banking. CFG Gestion handles asset management and portfolio management within the group.
Financial institutions and asset management companies in Morocco must follow strict rules on internal controls and risk management. Bank Al-Maghrib and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) oversee different parts of the financial sector.
