More than 800 executives, business leaders and entrepreneurs have completed a joint MBA programme run by HEM Business & Engineering School, Université Paris Dauphine PSL and IAE Paris Sorbonne Business School over the past 25 years. The three institutions celebrated the programme’s anniversary at an event in Casablanca on Wednesday, bringing together graduates, university leaders and representatives from the business community.

The MBA is aimed at experienced professionals who want to move into senior management while continuing to work. It is taught part time over 18 months and includes 12 modules and 420 hours of classes.

Graduates receive two qualifications: HEM’s MBA and the International Paris MBA, awarded jointly by Université Paris Dauphine PSL and IAE Paris 1 Université Sorbonne. The degree is recognised in France, across the European Union and internationally.

Since its launch, the programme has built a network of alumni working in listed companies, public institutions, private businesses and international organisations in Morocco and abroad.

The event was held under the theme HEM, Paris Dauphine and IAE Paris Sorbonne, 25 cohorts, one alumni network. Speakers discussed how the role of business leaders is changing and looked at topics including artificial intelligence, sustainability, organisational change and the skills employers now need.

The three institutions said executive education should combine academic learning with practical work experience and an international perspective. They said this helps professionals build leadership skills and make better decisions as businesses face rapid change.

Founded in Casablanca in 1988, HEM Business & Engineering School is a private Moroccan institution recognised by the state and part of the LCI Education network. It offers programmes in management, engineering and related fields and opened an applied research centre in 2007.
