On Saturday, a vibrant Moroccan ambiance took over the fan zone “Africa Station,” situated near the Olympic Village on Île-Saint-Denis in the Paris region. This celebration highlighted the spirit of togetherness and conviviality that characterizes the Kingdom of Morocco.

The event’s organizers proudly inaugurated a “Moroccan House” within the heart of the festive “Africa Station” area, dedicated to African culture and sports.

Decorated with a traditional caïdale tent adorned in national colors, the Moroccan House showcased a selection of artisanal items, local products, and Moroccan culinary specialties.

“The Kingdom, a land of cultural riches and ancient traditions, is honored to share its most precious treasures with visitors to the Moroccan House,” said Sabah Ait El Bachir, Consul General in Villemomble, during the inauguration ceremony. The event was accompanied by popular Moroccan music and the rhythmic beats of dakka marrakchia.

“The Moroccan House is a space dedicated to discovery and exchange. It features works by Moroccan artisans, authentic flavors of our cuisine, and even sports demonstrations by Moroccan athletes,” she added.

Event organizer Said Khourach emphasized that the Moroccan House aims to be a showcase of Moroccan craftsmanship, displaying traditional jewelry, copper and leather goods, as well as a variety of Moroccan culinary products.

“Each product is a result of ancestral know-how and reflects the cultural richness of Morocco,” he stated, adding that the exhibition allows for sharing these treasures and offering an authentic immersion into Moroccan art and tradition.

The “Africa Station” fan zone will welcome the public until August 11, featuring competition broadcasts, animations, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and athlete meet-and-greets.

On August 1, the site will resonate with the rhythms of Moroccan music and culture, with the participation of numerous artists from the Kingdom.
