A Canadian company, Izotropic Corporation, is talking with Morocco’s Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health about bringing its breast cancer imaging technology to the country.
The plan could lead to a new company called Izotropic Africa, based in Casablanca.
The technology, called the IzoView Breast CT Imaging System, is designed to give clearer, more precise images to help detect and diagnose breast cancer. Izotropic says it could make exams better and give doctors more accurate information.
The talks cover research, regulatory approval, and the possibility of making some parts of the system in Morocco. The rollout would be gradual, with local data collected to support official approvals.
One IzoView machine, worth about $500,000, could be installed for free in a major hospital. That hospital would act as a research site to test the technology and track how well it works in Morocco.
The project also has a business side. Izotropic is exploring whether some production or assembly could happen locally, aiming to create a regional hub serving Africa and Gulf countries.
Izotropic Africa would handle licensing, marketing, and selling the breast imaging systems. Casablanca is seen as the best place for this because of its logistics and industry setup. The new company would mostly be owned by a local partner, with Izotropic keeping a smaller share.
A formal deal could happen by the end of April 2026.
