Smokers in Morocco will see price hikes and new brand options starting April 1, 2025, following the release of circular no. 6649/214 from the General Directorate of Taxes. This move comes in alignment with Ministerial Decree no. 821-25, signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance on March 21, 2025.
The circular introduces price increases for several well-established cigarette brands. Among them:
Davidoff (Classic, Gold, Violet Super Slims) now retail at MAD 42 per pack
Gauloises Blend and Sweet increase to MAD 32
Marquise Box FF and Marvel are priced at MAD 29
Cigar lovers will also notice price rises on high-end references such as Diplomaticos No.2 and San Cristobal De La Habana La Punta.
Alongside the price adjustments, the circular introduces several newly approved tobacco products. These include:
Camel Activate
Camel Double Activate
Winston Original
Winston XS Pinks Super Slims
Bentley Gold
These new options range between MAD 29 and MAD 41 per pack.
