Morocco puts 'Visit Morocco' campaign on Las Vegas Sphere

Morocco has made history by becoming the first country to advertise on the outside of the Sphere in Las Vegas. The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) said the campaign gave the country’s “Visit Morocco” tourism brand worldwide attention. Within days, images of the display spread across international media and social media through content creators.

The campaign was launched while the United States was hosting the FIFA Club World Cup, when millions of football fans were watching events in the country. The ONMT said it chose the famous Sphere instead of placing adverts only inside football stadiums.

The office said being the first country to use the Sphere’s giant digital screen shows its focus on new and creative ways to promote Morocco. It said the goal was to make the “Visit Morocco” brand visible to people around the world and leave a lasting impression after the campaign ended.

According to the ONMT, the campaign helped Morocco reach new audiences in several key tourism markets. It also increased online content about the country and boosted its international profile.

The campaign is part of a wider plan to make “Visit Morocco” one of the world’s leading tourism brands and attract more visitors.

The ONMT said it will continue promoting Morocco ahead of major international events that the country will host. It added that a successful tourism destination depends not only on what it offers visitors but also on having a strong and recognisable brand.
